About Slightly Nutty
Don’t let our
quirky name fool you. We take our work very seriously.
Slightly Nutty evolved from Pinch Pot ceramic studio’s relocation from Bloemfontein, to the Roodewal smallholdings on the outskirts of the city in 2009. What would have been a 200m² pottery studio and a small tea garden evolved into a family friendly function venue with a rustic farm style restaurant overlooking the Renosterspruit, a spacious eco-friendly play area, a petting zoo and a hall in picturesque surroundings, ideal for weddings and year-end functions.
The day-to-day running of this enterprise is handled by entrepreneur and artist,
Jo-Ann (Guess) Maartens, and her husband, Rudi Maartens.
Having been involved in the ceramic arts, running a successful pottery studio from 1997 until 2009, Jo-Ann handles all the décor from children’s parties to formal weddings.
Rudi’s hands on approach with customers and clients is indicative of his passion for people and the hospitality industry.
The fact that both co-owners are directly involved with all functions at Slightly Nutty,
serves as an indication of how important each and every client is to this business.
What sets Slightly Nutty apart from so many other function venues and restaurants in Bloemfontein, is the amount of freedom clients are given with regards to dictating the proceedings of their functions and choices with regards to décor and menu items.
If you appreciate honest business and down-to-earth, friendly Free State folks, then this is the place
